On top of that, only if you accept it, Google Analytics, so we can see which pages get read. No advertising, no profiling, no selling anything on.

Storage: localStorage.voice, localStorage.consent and, on /benchmark.html, localStorage.cmb.run (all functional, no consent required). Google Analytics 4, property G-NNS4WCW38Y, gated behind analytics_storage — denied by default, granted only on an explicit accept. ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization are denied unconditionally.
Cookies, scripts and web beacons
A cookie is a small file sent along with a page and kept by your browser on your device. What is in it can be sent back to our server, or to the server of a third party, on a later visit. A script is program code that makes the site work and respond; it runs on our server or on your device. A web beacon is an invisible piece of text or image used to count traffic.

Before you answer
Google Analytics loads in a restricted mode from the first page view: it sets no cookie and cannot recognise you, and it reports an aggregate hit and nothing more. Accepting lifts that restriction. Declining leaves it in place, and we remove any Google Analytics cookie already on your device.
Google Analytics load right away, but tied down: no cookie, cannot know who you are, only count one hit. Say yes, restriction go away. Say no, restriction stay, and we delete any Google Analytics cookie already on your machine.
Consent Mode v2. Defaults are set inline in <head> before gtag.js loads; /consent.js issues consent update and, on a decline, expires _ga* across the registrable domain.
Turning it off yourself
Every browser can block or delete cookies, automatically or by hand, and can be set to warn you each time one is placed — the Help section of your browser explains where. Clearing site data for this domain removes both the stored preferences and anything Google Analytics has set. The site keeps working; it just forgets your voice.

Clearing site data for this origin removes localStorage and all first-party cookies. No server-side state is keyed to the visitor.
Your rights
You have the right to know why your data is needed, what happens to it and how long it is kept; to see what we hold; to have it corrected, completed or deleted; to withdraw consent you have given and have the data removed; to take a copy elsewhere; and to object to processing. We honour an objection unless there are justified grounds not to.
